I think I have something on my computer and it's driving me nuts. I have run Ad-Aware several times as well as mcaffee a couple of times. Problem is that I am getting popups that I haven't received since I installed the google toolbar with the popup blocker. Any suggestions you computer ner...i mean gurus?

Make sure you setup some sort of firewall.

Best anti-spyware prog right now is: Microsoft Anti-Spyware (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/info.aspx?na=90&p=&SrcDisplayLang=en&SrcCategoryId=&SrcFamilyId=321cd7a2-6a57-4c57-a8bd-dbf62eda9671&genscs=&u=http%3a%2f%2fdownload.microsoft.com%2fdownload%2f8%2f1%2f5%2f815d2d60-49b5-44dc-ae35-fca2f2c6f0cc%2fMicrosoftAntiSpywareInstall.exe)
Don't worry it's not written by MS, and it's free. :35:

Install anti-spyware, update, and then run a scan in safe mode (press F8 while booting). Also make sure your virusscan definitions are up to date.

If that doesn't fix it, let us know.

My advanced server 2000 PC's run fucking perfect! I get maybe 1 pop up a day. XP is fucking HORRIBLE with that shit! All I have on my 2000 machines are the google toolbar and I run spybt every once and a while. I also have macafee. Every XP computer I have owned I hate!

You get a pop-up a day? I have XP and I haven't gotten a pop-up in months.

VDUBZ: MS AntiSpyware, update definitions, boot into safe mode, run Ad-Aware, Spybot S&D, MS AntiSpyware, and McAffee(sp?) and you should be 100% fine.

What are pop ups? Don't click on shit that you aren't looking for and you won't get them. It's really that easy. lol

Don't go to porn sites, use a different browser, don't download shitty peer-to-peer applications (i.e. kazaa, limewire, etc), and don't be a dipshit... then you should be 100% fine as far as pop-ups go.
