Got an iPod Mini recently, and I hate iTunes. What do you guys use for transferring music to the iPod besides iTunes????

Wiggie, I don't use my iPod anymore so I'll give you my license (100% legal) to Anapod Explorer. Best software ever, and fast as hell.

I love iTunes, I still use it even though I sold my iPod. Just make sure that you have firewire for transferring songs to the iPod.

Does it not just show up as a USB/Firewire portable HD?

I'm a moron

well technically, its not that hard. all you need to do is take the songs off the ipod that you want songs from, put them in your iTunes, and manually transfer them to yours. To do this, all you need to do is take autosync off. In Itunes, go to edit>preferences>ipod> and click the circle with manually manage songs and playlists. You do this so that when your friend or whatever plugs their ipod in, it doesnt take all your songs off and put theirs on. This will do it if you just want a select few from the other ipod.

Hope this helps.

Can I have the iPod too? ;) I'm gonna get the trial version a go.

Did you find the firewire version is that much faster? Or is there an advantage that I'm overlooking?

Actually I can't really remember what I did now. I remember at first it was slow as shit, but maybe that's because I was using USB 1.0 or whatever... then once I got 2.0 or firewire, can't remember what it was, it was MUCH (like 10X) faster. With the first way I did it, it took like a few minutes for a cd or something, I can't remember haha.

It took me like 3-5 minutes to fill my iPod (4 gigs).

I've actually gotten a couple of people wanting to buy my iPod... 20GB 3rd gen. There are problems with it.

1) LCD Screen is semi-going to shit... think it got heat soaked somewhere.
2) Battery has gone to shit, max of 1-2hrs of play before it dies.

It'll come w/ car charger, computer dock, and iTrip.
