I'm bored so here goes.

1. Let's analyze the name SCAR. Supposedly it means sport compact auto RACING. Anybody notice the racing part it there? Apparently most of you have missed it because half of you have never went to the drag strip more than once if any at all let alone any other legal racing event. I seriously think the club name should be changed to Sport Compact Parking Lot Patrol. It seems like there are a couple of reasons why.

A: You talk alot of smack but you know it can't be backed up.
B: Big dick syndrom. Looks like half of you are scared to death of getting beat by another SCAR member. Get over it you can't win every race.

Don't give me this "I don't want to tear my car up" crap. Why the hell would you even be into racing in the first place?

Please note that this is to the guys that act like they are about performance. If you are in to the show deal and know it thats cool.

2. The Rice Forum.WTF is all I have to say. Lets have a forum dedicated to making fun of cars...wait I got a better one called lets not. Its a freaking waste of space and its old. Half the cars that come out to SCPLP (my new name for it) should have pics in there. Another thing is making fun of the Fast and Furious isn't funny. We all know we've seen the movie more than once and we all know how wrong it is. I swear a bunch of you just try to make fun of it on purpose so that we won't think you are a ricer.


3. If you are stupid please don't talk to me about my car because I will try to slowly burn you with matches. Don't ask me why I strip it out from time to time. Why the hell do you think anyone strips out a car? I assure you its not to pick up chicks.

4. There is a certain domestic owner out there that has no clue about some of the "slow" four cylinder cars that thinks he can smoke any of us or as he put it "win by default". Know what the hell you are talking about and don't give me a " your a dumb ass if you think a NA 4 cylinder with and intake and header can take me" look. I'll hand you your freaking ass at the drag strip and give it too ya 5 more times at auto-x along with at least 3-5 other 4 cylinder cars out there.

5. No I didn't get my Type-R jacket with my car. My little sister made it for me out of my OEM front mask. Yes the jacket is real leather (or it use to be 5 years ago). Is it cool? No its not.

6. Chappy is a black guy and should be approached with caution. I caught him making out with a cow the other day in a field.

7. Pay attention to peoples tone of voice. It seems like some people like to argue when there is nothing to argue about. If you say something wrong and I correct you starting with the word "NO". As in "No man its a so and so" then thats that.... arguement over. You don't have to go asking around because if I'm not 100% I'll say something like "I'm not sure man but I think its a so and so". Just pisses me off when someone doesn't trust a smart person (not me just using myself as an example).

8. Undisclosed terms on this one.

That should do it for now.

U know I'm with you on this one. I will admit that I'm the slowest muthafucker out there. Anyone wit a time slip slower than a 17.0 can have bragging rights but until then. :D But yea pplz always talking about give me time or other reason like Brock said. Now wait a go'l durn minute. I've busted my car at the track..
and on the street... and probably will again in the near future.
But at the same time, I do all my work, so its not something i personally look forward to (just because I can swap a complete rear end in less than an hour doesn't mean i want to do it every time i go to the track)

I've also got a turbo, springs, and several motors. so :-p

As for the clueless guy who wins by default.. not to toot my own horn (because my car isnt particularly fast yet) but i'd venture to say that most of the guys rolling the night that comment was made would have fallen to the mustang. I'd venture to say hes got more time and effort into his domestic than most of the "ricers" have in their cars, and while it hasn't turned out for him like he hoped it would, its by no means a slouch... No offense there el-capitain, but there wasn't anyone out there that night aside from justin that was pulling away from me (and i'm not particularly fast). So for him to make that claim is fairly accurate. The comment came about when we were talking to a guy with a 1.7l civic and the guy with the nitro prelude. I recoginize the effort going into the 'lude, but at the time his best was something like a 16.1, which with headers intake and exhaust and nitro isn't that fast.

I'm not trying to hate, but if you're going to call someone out, at least get all the facts straight first, not all of us can afford (or talk our parents out of, depending on what side of the wealth tracks we hail to) a brand new type-r.. so just because at the time of the purchase or whatever your financial situation was such that you could get such a car, doesn't give you the right to look down from your lofty position.

I have the reading comprehension of a 4th grader and cant make sense of what me and my car have do do with any of whatever this thread is about. I never ever ever claimed to anyone that my car was fast. I hope noone got that impression. Even when i boost the current motor, i will probably be slower than chappy's prelude.

And no, I never said he could beat justin, because I can't beat justin and so far my car is faster than his mustang (but that was a while ago and he's gotten more toys since then, so I might not be anymore)
And no offense, but the night the comment was made, Me and Justin were the fastest cars out there.. I polled the audience.. there was a 17 second civic, a 16 flat prelude, and some newer preludes that were i would guess close to 15 flat (which is generally what i run) So in that respect, assuming his mods have made his car faster and not slower (exhaust, intake stuff, gears) he could make that comment as safely as i could. No offense guys but most of the scar members don't threaten me... someone said it before me, I can't remember who, but it went something like "Nothing out here scares me".
And we asked and thus knew what people were running. So he had prior knowledge to the comment being made.


Good for you that you could mortgage property to get your car.. I don't have that luxury and it seems most of us don't. I'm not trying to dog you out cause you know I think your car is kickass, but that doesn't allow you to sit aloof of the rest of us.

thats what i thought..punk. yeah, its slow, but like i said thats cuz its got an accord motor, hopefully it'll be kickass once i get the other motor build and turn up the boost. booyah

keep in mind that your accord motor NA probably makes more hp than my motor NA, thats why it surprised me when you said 16 on a 55 shot (I ran a 14.9 at 8-9psi, which isnt all that much boost, and you had the added benefit of no huge exhaust restriction ;) )

Jess, I've been reading up on turbo F22's b/c when my brother gets his new car, I'm getting his old Accord. Most of them run about 10 lbs without any prolbems. There is a guy on H-T that runs 13 lbs on his stock (other than injectors) motor and it is his daily driver. If you go search for "turbo f22" it'll pull up his dyno graph. He puts 265 to the wheels on 13 lbs. Not too shabby man.

Anyway, with some DSM 450's (what year is your car anyway, you might not need the resistor box) and an AFC (no map check valves and no ghey vtec tables to screw with :P)), people have gotten really good performance out of the F22. And since nobody wants them, they are practically throw-away motors at around ~300-400 for one in good running order.

Ok I'm sure the stang guy is cool, but here is the bottom line.

1. He wouldn't have been the fastest out there.
2. He's a Ford automatic so he's not going to do that great from a roll.
3. The other cars out there were pretty quick and if anything just a touch slower than him. Fast enough that I'm sure he would have been really surprised by at least 3-4 cars out there.

4. I don't sit aloof of anyone because I don't talk crap. I know what me and my car can do and thats it nothing more or less. I sure as heck don't go blabbing up to some guys I don't know.

I have over 120 passes ( I actually think it might be closer to 200) on the stock clutch launching it from 5-7k rpm every single time and I have 48,000mi to boot. I haven't broken anything yet.

Nah, launching FWD cars isnt too bad at all if you do it right. Not a whiff of clutch smoke from your old car when we were running low 14's w/ 280 ft/lbs of tq going to the front wheels. People w/ FWD cars smoke their clutches when they don't know how to launch....or they are making significantly more power and are running slicks.

Last time I checked, my car wasn't AWD.......besides, your supposed to have a clutch that can take the stress. In addition, the beating that will be imposed by the launch on your car will go to the clutch and the clutch only. So it isn't like your tearing out half shafts or busting CV's.

I have 48,000mi to boot and have just started to notice that the clutch is getting a tad weaker but still good enough to pull a 13.8. If you have a close to stock car and know what you are doing there is little to worry about.

Is it more abusive than street driving.........in some ways yes and in others no. When I pass on the street, I am doing the same thing as dragging. When I start on a hill, it is even worse on my clutch than at the track because I have to slip it. When I slam on brakes for a car in front of me, I wear them down faster than at the track where I am allowed ample stopping time.

I don't have my car right now. I've been to plenty of meetings in the past and I know what in the hell goes on. I feel as if some of the shit that goes on out there (which I'll keep to myself) hurts this clubs image. Does anyone agree? I mean Brock is right about the website itself, but the meetings can be the same way.

Damn, is everyone in a pissy mood? As for the "image" I dont care, I do what I want, how I want..if I learn something as I usually do then great. I dont care if some thinks we are stupid, ricers, or whatever else, I enjoy coming up there on tuesday's and I enjoy the board. It makes me laugh, and it irratates the hell out of me sometimes. If I wanted image I would join a frat. If I want to do what I please well then...I do. 8)

Point is I enjoy all of this and if I didn't I would simply stop coming around.

And yes I made the comment that few of the cars that attend the meetings threaten me and its something that I won't take back. I meant it. When Kenny said the same thing, he meant it. Big deal. I think that my comments got twisted around and interpreted in ways that I didn't intend for them to be, however. Here's the deal. Everyone knows what their car is capable of and I'm not going to dispute anyone's word on it (unless they brag about their red del sol running low 15's). Further more, I KNOW that my car isn't the fastest one out there. The first (and last) time my idiot brother drove my car, he discovered that my car is NOT as fast as Justin's Eclipse and nearly wrecked both of them. If someone says that thier car runs XX.XX in the 1/4 then I'll take their word for it unless it's some phenomenal time. Brock, a Type R running high 13's doesn't surprise me and I never scoffed at your times. I don't know what makes you think that I did. Justin Koen said it was fast and I took his word for it. You said it was fast, Kenny said it was fast and Grayson said it was fast. What grounds would I have to dispute what they say?!? I don't try to start shit up that I can't back up. When everyone went out on the interstate, I didn't feel like going because of a couple of reasons. 1) I know how fast my car can go and at the speeds that it's capable of reaching, it would be insanely dangerous with other testosterone filled guys trying to do the same. 2) Has anyone reading this ever gotten pulled over for going 100+ MPH on the interstate?? I havn't but I ran like shit when a trooper coming the other way tried to turn around and catch me. Thanks to a 150MPH sprint down a 4 mile stretch of DESERTED interstate, he didn't catch me but I can garun-damn-tee you that if he DID, I would never see my car again (and probably NO car for a very long time) Proof on that claim will come to this thread when I get back to my apt. But seriosly, going out there at those speeds with other cars is just fuckin stupid. It's an accident waiting to happen, be it someone hitting someone else's car or even the occasional back window flying out, it's just not the smartest thing to do. I did it because I HAD to. I didn't have a good time. I was scared as shit and I hope I never HAVE to do it again. When the white lines on the road blend into 1 solid line, you know you've crossed the threshold of a normal man's sanity. I just thank God that most of you guys have governers. If cars didn't have them, there would be a lot more dead idiots but then again, that's not THAT bad...

Now, continuing on with more topics of the rant...I'm not one with the bad attitude out there. All you guys who bitch about how shitty some other guy's car looks are being the dicks. Whatever some guy did to thier car, they did so because they wanted to be or thought it was cool. They don't need assholes slapping them in the face for shit that they more than likely worked hard to get. Who cares if he has a small model plane molded into his "Spoiler", Who cares if his car is red, black and 2 shades of primer, who cares if someone's neon doesn't have springs, and who gives a flying FUCK how many stickers or fart cans or Type whatever badges some guy has on his or her car?!? Did they ever talk shit about you or your car? If so, then by all means, do what you feel is necessary but if not, then why sling shit at them? Look, this is supposed to be a civilized organization where ANYONE who is into sports cars or performance can meet up with friendly people and have a good time doing so. If some new guy comes out to a meeting and gets made fun of because all he or his parents could afford was a $1500 (or cheaper) POS, don't dog him for it. You wouldn't like it so why would he or she? Try to keep a positive outlook when you guys are out there and be respectful of other's feelings. The only reason that the cops hang around to bust people is because of all you stupid jerk offs that think it's cool to see how fast or loud you can leave or some stupid shit like that. I know I'm probably wasting my breath here because the temptation to smoke em up (for those who can) is definately there. But why do it there? Why not wait till you go to a controlled environment (I.E. the damn fuckin TRACK) where the chance of getting hurt or arrested or possibly killed is much less. (That last one is for all you guys on motorcycles). Yeah you guys are cool and all but I could personally do without the wheelie sessions out in the street and I'm just gonna go ahead and tell you guys that I am by FAR not the only one who thinks that yeah, it may be cool for a few minutes but the 12th and 13th times are not cool any more. Put the bike down and come back and join reality. I just assume you guys have seen the video with all those guys who stand up on their seats or do wheelies going 100+ MPH. I got news for you: Those guys appear to be stunt men who know what the fuck they're doing. This is just my opinion. I've never ridden a race bike and probably never will so what the fuck do I know? All I can tell you is that it looks dangerous and I won't do it. NOW, I COULD go out there and cut doughnuts till my tires explode but why??? Sure everyone in the parking lot may think it's cool but the cops sure as hell won't! The point I'm making is that EVERYONE can be civilized law abiding citizens and still have a good time. I've started attending the AERC meetings and the cops NEVER come out and wait in the walmart parking lot for people to do supid shit when they leave. Get the point?
