Installed sti 565cc injectors and vf-39 turbo. This is basically a big thank you thread to everyone that helped out in Monkey town...Rick, Jess, Nick, both my brothers and just about everyone else there helped out with either physical help or just hung out and kept company. Big thanks to Rick who stayed the entire time and helped with everything i didnt know how to do...slightly smaller but still just as sincere thanks( ;) ) to Jess for wiring up alittle sunshine and figureing out the missing injector seal. :cool:
Performance, is nothing crazy at all. The entire point of this tune i am running is just to get me into a bigger turbo....i am running the bare-bone basics, still stock fuel pump. Think of it as tip of the ice-burg type thing. I can add a fuel pump, bigger i/c...and alittle c16 later and be pretty quick. But, as of now...the mid-range is basically the same as before except where that little td-04 would run out of breath this thing just keeps pulling...so no tapering. Im running 16 psi...exactly the same as on the stock turbo, so any mid-range gains are just from more volume flowed by the bigger turbo.
I dyno'ed my stg 2 at 230whp...this is the stg 2.5 map and is supposed to be rated at around 250whp but much more area under the curve. Overall, i like. I might try and get some picks up later.
I would actually like to run Adam(wrx) and Adam(gti) again to see any possible gains. :thumbsup:
