WTF?? clutch question

I was coming home today,and i stopped at a red light and when i put the clutch in and started to roll away from the light, before the clutch ever really engaged the battery light came on and went off like the car had started to stall or something. I didnt think much about it and went about my way. I got home tonight and when i started to let off the clutch it made it made a popping sound. I have never heard this noise and was basically wondering if this is a problem or just something normal. :confused:

Sounds like the engine tried to stall but once you fully engaged the clutch the tranny was able to kick over the engine enough to refire itself (just like if you were to push start it with just enough speed to get it to crank).

The pop sound was probably just you being paranoid.

I would have to agree with the paranoid theory...I am that way about any noise that my car makes :O

i've gotten to the point with mine, if i hear any funny noises, i drop it to the floor and come what may...

That's my motto as well. Flooring the gas seems to magically fix a lot of problems. :P

popping isnt imagined, my dad and my friend heard it. Its only in 1st gear though. Ehh.. if it breaks i will figure it out

Is it a popping or a clicking?? How many miles are on your car and have your axles been replaced?
