I got really bored yesterday and was so humored by reading JDMSol's posts on HondaTech I decided to do some investigating...

I emailed JUN and asked them whether they do cam regrinds or not.

Though regrettable, we do not have engine data for D16Z6.

We have a canshaft for D16A, We do not know whether it can be used for D16Z6.
Do you know whether it can be used for D16Z6??
D16Z6 dose not exist in Japan.

1) They don't have any data on that engine, so they couldn't produce the cam let-alone regrind it.
2) Anyone wanna check the given stats to even see if those cams would fit his engine (Not too familar with the differences b/twn D16A and the Z6...


Does this settle any arguments? :D

As of a month ago they didn't even have a D series cam period. Hum...interesting.

The d16A1 is the dohc 1.6 in 1st gne Integras, (dohc=woudln't work) The d16A6 is the soch 1.6 in 88-91 Civics/CRX Si's (nonvtec=wouldn't work) The d16z6 is 1.6 sohc Vtec, so neithe rof the d16a cams will work. Hence no vtec lobes on non vtec cams. :D

I know most honda dohc engines are b series, but I have one of these integras and it is a d series motor, research it if you like.

My friend todd (JGLUDER on HT) called them back in the summer and they said that they dont support the d series.
