144 wheel hp
143 wheel torque

NA powerz foolz. Actually it put down about 25 more hp than I thought it would, and about 40 more torque, stock exhaust manifold and bi-pipe (which apparently gets restrictive around 5500), and a wierd flutter in the torque curve between 3 and 45k. the head's ported and gasket matched to the intake, but since it wasnt meant for NA use (compression lowered from stock to 8.5ish-9.0) so i didnt bother messing with the hot side of the engine (and the ports on the exhaust side are enlarged quite a bit).

Now i've got some good baseline NA numbers and a timing map thats finito, turbo goes on in a couple days. (might rag it out at the track NA just to see what it does, might not and forgoe the torture for a week)

wow, that actually really impressive for an NA 4 ! I thought 4 bangers were supposed to have a large gap b/w HP and Torque? :D maybe some vtec? :D

ok sorry

not bad for a volvo!!!

hmm, google tells me

Horsepower : 155 hp @ 5600 rpm
Torque : 158 lb-ft @ 4400 rpm

for the KA at 9.5:1 cr at the flywheel.

the stock 16v volvo motor puts out 163 hp @ 5500
and 155tq @... well i dunno (never really cared either)

and mine with 9:1 cr put 144.33 hp to the ground, along with a blistering 143.46 torque.

sooo what was that about a volvo? :bfg:

the sniffer blew out the tail pipe, ignore the dyno afrs, mine had a smooth 13.5-13.8 across the board (Depending on how and where i jacked with the timing map).
