Okay here is the bead, i have a 98 240sx, it has wide five spoke (5-lug) wheels (16X7 inch). Call me Obsessive Compulsive but i am Sick of them(wheels), the clear coat is coming off (probably from previous ovner using a really acidic cleaner on the rim) and i want to paing them, because eveytime i was alittle more brake dust stays on the wheel. it looks like crap!
So, i'll be repainting them. this is where the dilema comes in, i was going to get a sandblaster and do all the stuff myself but then (realizing i haven't got the time to have my wheels missing off my car for 2 months while i find the time to finish the job) i figured how much can it cost to get someone else to paint them?

SO WHAT COLOR!??
I was going to go with a blacked out look and paint the wheels the same color as the car (gloss black), but i then i saw someone else do that and it looked lik crap..?
so i thought white? or maybe broze..?

Here is my exact car with chrome rims (he has the same rims as mine but they are chrome)

yeah i would have to agree with charlie. i think i like the silver the best. i have seen the bronze color wheels on a black car and it looked sweet but that was aftermarket wheels. just do what you like but i say silver. :D

oh btw ...... if your talking powder coating, you can get it for pretty cheap now.

Where at (powderCoating)? i have been looking around and i cannot find anyone? except like huge places in Cali and i would pay more in shipping than the actual coating, and i wouldn't have my wheels for like 2 weeks?
PLEASE TELL ME where!!

yah i think a silver would look good as well.....you might want to consider a greyish-anthracite.

I agree with the silver color, but if you really want a change then Gun-metal might look nice. I would think that United Auto and Collision could do something like that. It's on opelika rd, heading away from auburn on the left as soon as the road turns into two lanes.

BTW, Welcome to the board. Hopefully we'll get to see your car get turbo'ed and run at the track 8) .

Scott, only you would recommend a color like "a greyish-anthracite."

actually you would be more likely to say it since you used to work at the GAP

RWDnotRice, I think you were playing with Jimmy and I on Shug Jordan road about a week or two ago.........I was in a silver Passat and Jimmy has a red GST convertible and makes a loud pssshhhhh sound between shifts. Jimmy and I were playing with each other and we got over to let you pass and you kicked it past us, then jummy started palying with you and you had to make a turn. If that was you, next time stay and play, my little VW might have some fun
