I was trying last night with the jabber plugin for Trillian, but that did not work consistantly.

honigtheapothecary at the gmail dot com is mine. I added ka24det but is trying to go to ka24det at gmail.com like an invite. Strange.

:google: what will they attempt to do next.

EDIT: It will not minimize to the task icons in the right side of the task bar...Weak. :emo:

I hope Google keeps developing this little app. Hopefully at some point in the near future it'll be able to send out greeting cards, check stock prices, monitor your browsing habits and eventually take 40mb of RAM and 5% processor usage at idle.

I have it and it works great, even the voice chat. I definately think it has potential.

I don't know about Trillian, but Gaim works perfectly on it. Well it doesn't support the "call" feature.

yeah I had seen where gaim works fine with it. I am lame though; I spent money on Trillian Pro so I feel this unnatural need to use it.

The gtalk client is fairly tight memory wise, I think it is using a little more than four megs of RAM at the moment. Raindrop in a pond on this computer when I have itunes, firefox with 8 tabs, nvu, thunderbird, and yahoo messenger open.

I payed money for the stuff I liked that was not made by some large corporation. It was a momentary lapse of my e-thugery days.

Now that I am incomeless, fuck yeah, you can find anything freez on the netz
:cackle:

I wish I would have spread the wealth from my last job. I had 4 binders full of Microsoft software that was updated every month by Microsoft, and the licence keys to go with it. Corporate licences that don't call back to the mothership. :)

Not paying for software is 1)a crime 2)morally wrong 3)very cost effective!!
