Someone has to build a good looking car with a great engine soon. For the past 5 years roughly you only get one or the other, they are about due for at least one decent car in the near future.

I think Nissan might be the only import maker (aside from Honda) making a sports car anymore. (In the US)

The markets change, I like the 350Z and I like the WRX and the EVO. Sports cars will never die.

It has a great motor, don't get me wrong. If you get to see one in person they look like a couple of cars mated.

yes, and a RX-7 (turbo of course, and not cheap) to follow one year later. The next Mazda 6 (what used to be the 626) will more than likely have the new 13b Renesis motor in it also.

Eclipse, don't you mean Grand Am? :shock: The Evo will be watered down for the US, just like the WRX. At least it won't look like a Neon. :lol:

I'd think the SRT 4 would make one hell of a project car actually........fmic, 16g, 2.4l, and on boost happy engine. Should make for some real fun

The new Neon is bad as hell! They are already trapping 102mph in the brand new stock ones! They are limited to 148mph but can supposedly reach 160mph. I'm not a fan of Dodge build quality but you gotta give them props. For $19,000 thats one hell of a car.

Mazda still has the Miata which is the purest sports car you can have (open top RWD two seater). The also have the MP3.

Toyota has the MR2 and the Celica GTS if it counts.

and how could one leave out the WRX.

If you ask me this is one of the biggest surges in sports car type vehicles in a while. Yeah the late 90's sucked since all the big Japanese turbo cars died but now we have tons of cheap fast options with several top dog cars here already or on the way. I think this is the most varied the sports market has ever been which is awesome.

Miata's are bad ass! So are MR2's and Celica's. I love all except for the all mighty WRX. Nah, just another rival owner. :wink: :D
