LOL... I figured with it being the "drag racing" forums and it also being the second of two.. the first which is simply titled 111mph, it would be easy to figure out. I trapped at 107. Guess I should have thought it out for the ones that couldn't - sorry.

It's with the bottle. It's with the ET streets. Race weight 3650 with me in the car 320/400 to the wheels.
I personally was happy with it.
The thing about my car is 11's are just around the corner.
There aren't very many cars that frequent this club that are going to run 11's or 12's (I haven't met any Atlanta peeps so I don't know about you guys, I'm talking about the Auburn guys).
Do I think my car is a beast? no. It holds it's own.
That 9 second mustang that I rode in Sat was a beast.
I just thought I would share my times, obviously there is more dislike than like so I'll keep the numbers to myself in the future.
Most of you guys are cool but some of you have a discontent for mustangs in general. I'm not sure why, maybe I have missed something. Either way, for every car there is a car that's faster. It just takes money.

We're just messing with you. At least I am. A race between us would be a good one as we have almost identical numbers. I am proud of the fact that my car can run my numbers any time and anywhere though thats all :D Congrats on your 12 second run, thats something I havent accomplished. How do you plan on running 11s?

i hope your not talking about me because i gave you nothing but praise.
I'm in the 12's traping 115mph and could be in the 11's on street tires in stock form (just have to learn to launch this thing), and there are others on here in the 12's or traping the same as you or better so there is really no place to say that.
also, why are 11's just around the corner? what are you getting.

Of course I'm not talking about you.
Most people that can get in the 12's understand how good it makes you feel.
It's the ones that run 14's and 15's that get pissy when somebody else does better.
As far as the 11's, I've got a some bolt ons, 3:73 gears, and of course some more "fake" hp coming. My intake will be on soon as well as my bigger throttle body. Right now I am trying to get my first round of mods paid for before I start adding more. I can't launch too hard because I don't want to break the stock rear end so as soon as I put my gears in and have my built rear end, I can get my 60' down some more. We'll just see.
The banter is all in good fun. I think most of the guys are pissed because with your s/n you should be a hot chick.....but you're not a hot chick.

I think with 100 extra HP and 120 - 130 more FTlbsTQ I should be able to get it. The ability to launch harder will help alot too.
Plus, my shiftering might have some room for improvement.
I know my engine can handle 400 hp for at least a little while because I know a bunch of guys that have 400 hp GT's and they are still trucking.
We'll see. The worst thing that can happen is I will break it and have to buy better parts ya know.

I don't think we hate mustangs. It's more the nitrous that I dislike. A car that traps 107 on the bottle is very different from a car that traps 107 w/o.
Not to say that running 12's on the bottle isn't awesome. It is. Congrats! Good 60' time. :)

Makes sense.
I guess I look at it differently (I would because I spray) but I don't see a difference between freezing the air going into my intake (N20) and cooling the air with a super charger.
Either way I'm using a power adder to change the air.
Nitrous is cheap power but it is still power. Like I said I am sure I look at it differently but to me a power adder is a power adder.
I have a buddy with a 12 second N/A mustang and it's impressive but holy shit he spent a lot more money than I did and he's not any faster.
Bang for the buck I guess.

Yeah, n02 in the import world is about as rice as it gets(imo). But it seems its the bread and butter power adder for domestics?
I personally will never use any sort of n02 on any of my cars. Anyone can throw on a bottle and a big shot and be fast.
With that said, if that is fast for your mods...congrats. Im not someone who is going to hate on a car for using n02, but i still have my preference.
I would have loved to see your car n/a running those times :)

I think a lot of negative opinion on the "nawwz" came from F&F. I remember way back in the day when the "older" guys were spraying everything and it was ok. Personally I don't care, if I get in the 11's on spray or S/C I am still in the 11's. When I show my time slip to somebody it doesn't matter what I have, it only matters what I ran. I definately have the "bug" now. Cause I just want to go faster :)

Not so true! That's equivalent to me saying "anyone can throw on a big turbo and be fast."
because I spray) but I don't see a difference between freezing the air going into my intake (N20) and cooling the air with a super charger.
This statement doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.
The "bug" is definitely dangerous! Im glad you got it, it's a lot of fun. :)
Nitrous is fun, no doubt about that. I dislike the way some people bash it, because there's no reason for it. If you run it, you can keep the bottle on all the time, and if you're using a bottle per tank of fuel that's a shitton of nitrous!

I like the nitrous because it's on when I want it on and it's off when I want it off. I don't have a ghetto setup where I have to stand in my trunk with a blow torch and heat bottles. I just flip a switch and watch my pressure gauge on my panel. I don't use the nitrous everywhere I go just like most people with turbos or s/c don't floor it everywhere they go. Nitrous was the cheapest and quickest way I could get over 300 hp so I went that route. I would love to have a S/C car but the expense is too great right now.
As far as my confusing statement, I guess what I am saying is you are manipulating the air that goes into your car in order to gain hp... no matter what induction system you are using.
So if you are forcing are in with a turbo or a s/c or cooling the air with nitrous, you are still basically doing the same thing.... cheating the normal flow of the air into the intake.
So I'm not sure how nitrous is any more "fake" than any other power adder.
I hope that makes more sense and is closer to my point than my last :)

i like nitrous b/c its CHEAP and it works! i have a buddy who's done almost every bolt-on you can do to the SOHC 4.6 and he STILL only ran 102mph. whereas chris has put barely any money into his car, and it'll beat 90% of the cars on this forum. nitrous is for people who want one thing, to go fast, and it seems to work pretty damn well. good job!

fineazell1, I don't really know your name, but we are agreeing! I'm not a hat3r. I run a bottle, too. It makes an even bigger diff with a turbo already on there. Supachagas annoy me. They're whiney and make highway driving a pita. I can have all my power or 1xxHP depending on my right foot.

I trapped at 111 on my crappy tires but I ran a 13.5 so go figure.
I like the volvo though, it's the ultimate sleeper :)
I've been making a video for a buddy of mine who just got into the tens and I have been constantly reminded all day of how much improvement I have to make to be "fast".
