Supra won. I made one pass (12.5xx @ 113.xx) and tore about a half inch wide section all the way around the right slick. Lucky for me these we're old slicks that were gonna come off anyway.

Unfortunately we didn't shave enough sheetmetal while affixing the new flares. I launched hard and there goes the slick (actually still usable). I was running 18psi in the ET drags, which is too much air.

Nick made sure to point out my heebness when I was pounding the tire-gouging material in hopes to make another pass. After realizing I lost the battle, the car made it back to the trailer :(

On a lighter note, though I spun through first, it pulled harder than ever. A 1.8 60' is OK, but should get better by the Supra Shootout next weekend.

Weight reduction and less contact surface on the slick yields better traps :happyFU:
