Neat.
I have seen a couple of things for Google Earth that are based on hooking the GPS to GE and using that for navigation, but that looks like it could be a winner with VW behind it.
Now if google would spend some money and time and upgrade the image resolution for everywhere not in a major city, then it would be PIMP.
I have not played with it, but the 2006 Honda Goldwing is avalable with a navigation system. It keeps all the data on a 2gb Compact Flash card in one of the storage containers in the back of the bike. I wanted to pop it out and put it in my laptop to see if it was readable in windows. :)

This looks awesome. I agree with Grider with image resolution being great for all cities and not just major ones would be great.

Two strong companies coming together. Looks like a possible winner. Nvidia has been doing very well lately. $$$ : ) I agree, goog needs to map the whole earth in high res. That would be a big plus. What about all the rednecks and ghetto folk that aint in the big city! How are they gonna know where to take the bus?
I knew about that shit months ago. Thats how cool I am. So there, now you know.
