so i got my intake put on with the help of jess and his hose couplers.

I must say i wish i did this earlier. I got the free aem intake tube from a friend and a rice APC filter from OB's work.

THe car is so much smoother throughout the entire rpm band. It pulls harder and has better midrange too. it just drives so smooth now.

I dont think i can hear vtec any better though. the mota seems a bit louder, but i cant really hear vtec any more, strange?

Next up: 2.3 inch exhaust and new ball joint over the kwanza holiday break.

Clint I just thought of something. Your ECU has the VTEC crossover coming in earlier doesn't it? That explains why you can't hear it as distinctly. You are switching to the big cam when the engine isn't sucking as much air thus making it quieter/smoother than stock B16A's.

thats what someone else said too, but i tried my ecu on james car and it is loud and distinctive.

I would think you should hear it better. Shiet I can even hear and tell when VTEC kicks in my car. :o

Intakes are functional. so are apc filters. :?

oh yea, im spinning into second when i shift up high every time with the intake on now too.

Oh yeah, another interesting note: When me and clint were taking the civ for a test drive, a mysterious orange glowing orb tried to attack us.

i think that it was shorting the battery when i would shift hard, because the intake would touch the battery.

One time the engine light came on and the tach jumped when i shifted.

i put electrical tape on it now.
