This weekend just didn't get off to a good start, and things didnt seem to start getting better until a little while ago..
Coroner's Report:
Time of Death:Aprox 7:50pm
Location: 85 north around tuskegee
Cause of death: unknown, suspected burned pistons and or broken ring lands
Details: 60 - 180 - 80 - 100 compression front to back, excessive oil in intake system
Make/model/year: Nissan 240sx, 1995.
Special notes: KA24DET (yes, T)
So, after two years of faithful service, the nissan's tired KA took itself off the contender's list for a while, it will be re-incarnated with big rods and pistons, but probably not for a while.
Then I got a call from jess around 8 saying his turbo was making a screaming noise (SHUT IT OFF!!!!).
This coupled with the temporary retirement of the 740, and the sudden and unexpected expiring of the head gasket on a friend's MG-C, and several interesting wiring problems with my freshly resurected 760 turbo lead me to believe that the car gremlins were out in full force trying to ruin everyone's day.
