This weekend just didn't get off to a good start, and things didnt seem to start getting better until a little while ago..
Coroner's Report:
Time of Death:Aprox 7:50pm
Location: 85 north around tuskegee
Cause of death: unknown, suspected burned pistons and or broken ring lands
Details: 60 - 180 - 80 - 100 compression front to back, excessive oil in intake system
Make/model/year: Nissan 240sx, 1995.
Special notes: KA24DET (yes, T)

So, after two years of faithful service, the nissan's tired KA took itself off the contender's list for a while, it will be re-incarnated with big rods and pistons, but probably not for a while.

Then I got a call from jess around 8 saying his turbo was making a screaming noise (SHUT IT OFF!!!!).

This coupled with the temporary retirement of the 740, and the sudden and unexpected expiring of the head gasket on a friend's MG-C, and several interesting wiring problems with my freshly resurected 760 turbo lead me to believe that the car gremlins were out in full force trying to ruin everyone's day.

Sorry to hear man, I hope everything works out for you guys in the end. Those fuckin gremlins got me 2 weeks ago, they went up in the diff housing and started chewing on my spider gears  .

That got damn Loch Ness monsta came by too, and you know what that monsta said to me?... He said lemme get tree fiddy. <grandma in the backround> treeeee fiddy!

Jess, what happened???

I know how bad it sucks not having your car for long periods of time, so hopefully you get everything taken care of soon. Let me know if I can help.

Damn, that is really shitty. Especially around this time of year. All you cats having to drive home for the holidays (well, except Jimmy, hes got like a full day of flying and probably rice eatin heh) and then not having money to fix shit. Suprised my car didn't break, since they are so unreliable. Ever figure anything out Jess? Drain the oil and see if any metal was in there? Nothing worse than spending a shitload of money and nothing going right.

The turbo is out of the car. Im going to buy some materials to make a "dummy turbo" to replace the turbo while the car is NA and tow the car to wolf to have them assemble/install it. I think i know where to buy the parts. Then all i have to do is cap off the oil feed/return lines and hook up the air filter to the IC or TB.

Anybody got a 5/8" golf tee?

I guess im gonna get a rebuild kit for the turbo and see what happens with that. I cant afford a professional rebuild at the moment.

Man, must be something in the water. My car finally ate the diverter valve last night. I can't make more than about 15 lbs of boost and it makes this really funky "blowing over a coke bottle" sound. At least its not a hard item to replace. Sorry to everyone else though. So sad to see the end of the 240 right there before your eyes :(

Well uh my car was shaking really bad then I knocked a big clump of dirt off of the front right wheel and it fixed it. :P Can't believe the 240 is dead.
