If you happen to stop by Chic Fila on Mag and take the drive thru, please be sure to stop before the side walk to make sure that no pedestrians or cyclists are present before crossing it.
I was hit by a car while riding my bike infront of Chic Fila today while trying to retreive some exam notes that I thought I had left over at a friends apartment. In addition to the hopping gears, no front breaks, bent rear rim, rust covered frame, I now have a nice front wheel in the shape of a parabola, and yes, I wobble now when I ride. The lady stopped to ask if I was ok, and being right in front of Subway, there where cute chics sitting right out side eating their sandwhich, so I kept saying it was cool and told the nice lady in the Mint Green Toyota Sienna that I was fine and I was going to go sit at the table (next to said cute chics) and I'd be fine. Needless to say I saw her drive off with her child sitting in the front seat with a frosty (what ever the hell Chic Fila calls their soft ice cream shit) with an ice cold glare to match. I am now studying for exams in the library with my feet propped up and leg bleeding a bit and bruised.
Hope every one has a great day... cheers and good luck on the exams.
You didn't get her to pay up for a new bike or "doctor's office visit" to heal your wounds?

Oh dude that sucks. I am one of your kind. Under pressure, I'm usually way too nice for my own good (unless pissed of course). This includes encounters with police, stupid people, anything. I always regret being such a pushover later.
(Of course, I felt worse after the few times I actually said what I wanted to)
Cheers. Sucks about the bike, but at least you have a cool story

Did your shoes fly off? What about your pants, where they still intact?

That is a bad place, CF needs to do something more than put up the stupid little mirror they have. What kind of bike do you have? I mean is it a dirt bike or a road bike? If it's a road bike I have a couple of rims you could have one if it's the front. I do not think I have rear rim but I'll check.

its a specialized mountain bike... wasnt cheap 5 years ago but what the hell. the rims bent at maybe 10* off, its still kinda useable, might bring it tuesday for shits and giggles.
Thanks for the offer though.
DAMNIT! I was eating lunch at chick fil a today! How did I miss this?! I've always wanted to see some get hit by a car! I must have been ordering my twisty cone at the moment of impact! Unbelievable!!

For those of you who have not seen MI:3 yet.... there are three or more Dane Cook references that J.J. Abrams put into the movie. Find them......! You will laugh out loud when you see them.

I think the thing that hurts the most is the fact that my bikes fucked up and I cont want to spend the money to fix it, id rather get my car down here than have a bike.
