Well guys, The vette decided to disconnect one of the wrist pins from the piston, while smashing two of my valves all this at 6k rpm. Where did the piston go? Well i have no idea. It seems to have done a disappearing act and blew itself into a million peices. Thats just the damage ive seen from the top. The heads actually survived(thank goodness). Hopefully the block will be salvageable. Takin the block and heads to the machine shop tomorrow.

Maybe someone just forgot to put the piston in there the last time it was assembled. It is a common mistake.
Sorry to hear about the mishap. I guess those car gremlins got you too.

If you can see positives out of this, I guess then you would see just how cheap it is to fix the motor. I can buy a complete shortblock 350/383 for 1800 bucks or if my block is ok just bore it and put a new rotating assembly in for 300 bucks-not including machine work-so basically i can do it for under 1k if i want to....Either way the MOFO is gonna get sold when it gets put back together and so is the F-bird. Ill prob. buy the 383 and love the power and keep the car and then blow it up again!!!

I have a few ideas for the car: detroit locka, 4.11 gears, get rid of the irs and put on a live rear axle, holley 750 double pumper, victor jr. intake manifold, and last but not least pop-up pistons. ur the dizawg and so is michael
