Damn i have been telling pep it is next sunday.
Anyways, ill think 428fox is going to be joinging us. Maybe adamp, if i can get ahold of him. Do we sign up there, and when do the gates open?
Alex where are you going to be coming from, north or south? We should meet up somewhere. Are you going to be on 400 any?
You have to register before hand at http://www.soloatlanta.com
The morning session starts at like 8:30 so I don't think we'll have time to meet up before hand. I'll be coming down 75 south from smyrna.

One certain miata that came through our u-turn station that we were working always came through sideways. He also dnf'd 4out of 4 runs.

Yeah but that miata was cracking me up haha. The white one that drifted through our hairpin was pretty sweet though!
Yeah I had a GREAT TIME learning my car. I confirmed that HOLY CRAP I LOVE MY CAR SO MUCH.
More importantly, I learned how much I have to learn about driving. Like, I pretty much sucked (5 secs behind fastest S2k - although that run was with a 90 deg tail slide that cost some precious time). I was just getting used to the course (i cant see very well anyways) and my car, but we only got 4 runs in :(
After running TGP last year, 4 mins of seat time seemed pretty lame. Anyways I still learned a ton. I was basically pushing too much the whole time, and had the rear end all over the place, slowing me down for sure. Unlike the WRX, this car takes some finesse in the inputs - somethign hard to learn with a tight, frantic environment like an autocross :).
This car is so fun to drive.
OH, funny story - the last run I missed the FIRST TURN, ABSing past it, behind the line of cones, then driving over them as I turned the car around. I was defiantely the only one that did that hahaha so embarassing. My hair fell in my eyes and I freaked out, not paying attention to my braking zone hahaha. Next time I'm bringing a hair clip ;) NO DNF tho hahaha

LOL haircut FTW?
It sounds like you guys had a blast... I can't wait until my miata is on the road. The time away from it is gonna kill me. All I need to do is sell my car and I can get that little car on the road and on the track.
Yeah, after lurking in the S2ki forums for a bit, I came to the understanding that the car takes a lot of practice to really get the hang of and it will definitely bring out a n00b driver in anyone not familiar with RWD
If you think the S2k is hard, you should try driving mister 2. It's very hard to drive it smooth. This was my first autocross that I didn't spin out. I came damn close at the end of my 4th run though. Coming through these fast sweepers, one of which had some bad camber. The rear end started to come around on me so I countersteered and it started to go the other way but I managed to save it without hitting any cones. That run was my best with a 55.xx. I think stephen was the winnar with a 53.xx. We all had a blast though. :D

Yeah I did the exact same thing on the exact same turn haha. That one got me twice, but it was BAD on my fastest run - I almost came to a stop haha
