Well all kidding aside it looks as though the Renesis didn't need a turbo to scare it's apex seals off. I think the fix is going to be a combination of elven magic combined with duck tape and about half a tub of epoxy.

I was merely jesting, hey I did manage to see my first LS2 equiped Pontiac Solstice the other day.

It was moddified by Mallet, and they even have an LS7 version now.

I don't get it. That damn motor has caused them more headaches than anything else and they stick with it just because its "different." When will they just say F that motor and be done with it. Yea, you won Lemans with one, congrats....pick something else to be the face of mazda.

Hell yeah it would. Now I could pickup a nice 04 RX-8 with a brand new motor in it. Ofcourse I'm not interested in the Rx-8 though.

Most of the recalls are for people who use synthetic oil. Mazda has said over and over again not to use synthetic because of it being injected for the seals. All mazda is going to do is a compression check next time the car goes in for service, and if any problems are found they are going to put in a new engine. I still stand beside my rotary. I love the way it handles and drives. Consumer reports found the rx-8 to be 20% more reliable than the average new car.

Actually, the cars might be ok, but still kinda funny except for the engineer who died surveying the ship before they decided on how to right it.
