Hey everyone, just found out about this site from byrd. I've been in AU since Jan. and have yet to meet any automotive enthusiasts... I hope to stop by the track friday night (what time?) and I'll try to make the weekly meets for sure... Anyway I drive a 99 Eclipse RS and a 93 Sentra SE-R. :meatwad:

hurry up and squirt the '86. I hear in a few million years the poles might shift, rendering all electronics useless.

Welcome. As you can tell, not many people hereknow about turbo cars. From the look of your car, they all should know that you have highly built turbocharged car with "xsivpsi"

In all honesty its not excessive yet... the only thing keeping me from turning it up is the fact that I like driving the damn thing and I really don't want to go to tranny number 4... Also I'm currently running on the stock ignition, been too lazy to wire it to the megasquirt. And I think the spec stage 3 is already on its way out... Right now I have it set on 17psi but I'd like to run around 22psi or so once I wire up the ignition and do a little tuning. I'll need a bigger turbo to make much use of any more boost... maybe a gt3071r in the future (currently a s16g) I know I could go with a bigger turbo but with it being a 2.0 I'd like to have some decent power before 5,000rpm hehe

Technically I'm on my second but I counted the first 1 twice since it locked up and had to be rebuilt then locked up again. Now I have a transmission out of a junkyard and when it goes then I'll be on #4... The first transmission locked up while the car was idling on the turbo timer in the garage... I noticed it making a clicking noise at a traffic light about a mile from my house and as I was about to walk in the door after parking the car jerked forward and stalled. On the input and output shafts under each gear there are needle bearings but they have plastic cages... the first time after opening it up the plastic was gound up into mud (plastic and transfluid) allowing the bearings to get out of alignment. Once that happens they break in half and lock shit up. The second time was about 2000 miles later on the rebuilt one. I borrowed a friends gtech and decided to go check it out. Launced the car and did what it said was a 1/4 mile run, then stopped to do a 3 point turn and what do you know, the trans locked up again in first gear this time while i was in the middle of the road right after a hill... that time the plastic just melted and allowed the needle bearings to move...so yea I'm sure you didn't need this novel but thats it.
Thanks everyone for the welcome

That would be the area I was talking about. It's the fairly uneventful area I call "home."

Hey dude, your car looks nice! Also, red on black wheels looks SO GOOD. Maybe you should paint those 5 spokes, I think it'd look amazing :D Anyways, just my opinion - I'm sure you went with polished because you like it, so... :)

thanks for the comments. I got those black wheels spring of '02 and at first everyone made fun of them cause that style hadn't caught on yet(at least in my area)... But then all those people that made fun of me started either getting black wheels or painting there stockers black and after a few years I decided I wanted a new look so last year I went with the polished wheels. I've actually thought of painting these gloss black cause at times I miss the black ones but eh.... :whogives:
OH yea, at the track when I finally got around to going over to where you guys were hanging out everyone packed up and left... I hadn't seen some of my friends that were out there in a few months so I had alot of catching up to do at first, oh well. See ya tuesday night.

And now so have I. I must admit I DO like those black wheels on Dixon's RX-7.
Not exactly a fan of the black on the Focus though. To me, black hides the detail on wheels, and that completely negates the reason for buying nice wheels with a good design. Wheels are supposed to reflect light, not absorb it.

CCW Classics are pimp-to-the-max but I think they'd still be better in Silver. I was referring to another car :pimp:
