Why don't I go out and buy a car thats already boosted too while I'm at it, RIGHT TOUGH GUY?

I already got the chainsaw. Gonna hit up either a pawn shop or yard sale for a bicycle. I might go ahead and do a 16" or 20" for comfort reasons. I'm toying with the idea of using a mountain bike for the transmission.... I can get the sprockets for about $20, some square metal tubing for making the motor mount and foot pegs for about $20-$30, a twist-throttle w/cable for $15, and a chain for about $5-$10 or the stock chain might work. I'm also gonna fab up a robust chain guard because I'd like to maintain all of my limbs.

hoping for upto 35-40mph top speed.

nah. Vespa frame has gotta weigh 100lbs easy, plus thats too easy. With a cheap bike probably weighing 30-35lbs thats more powa to weight. If i use a huffy, this will be my first domestic project.

Hey jess, I got a project for you. My garage is filled with shit and trashed car parts. Maybe you can clean it up and make a robot or something with all the crap that is in my garage :)

Ship that shit to me and I'll see what i can come up with.

I got the chainsaw mostly apart. It's a pain in the ass because the headstuds also act as motor mounts (to the plastic outer shell). Kinda gay. Given the amount of vibration that's going to be happenin I'm gonna have to make some sort of....something...or I could just see how well threadlocker will help out.

I got the clutch off the crank which was a bitch because I didn't have the special tool. Now I can modify the clutch with a small sprocket. I still gotta do some math to come up with my sprocket sizes and then decide on the bike.

I'll probably either use a 20" bike and mount the motor a-la motorcycle or a smaller bike and mount the motor over the rear wheel. Either way it should be interesting. :)
