why are you putting emanage on a honda?:quest:

because i have an automatic and if i swapped to obd1 i would have to swap trannies and then swap to obd1 and i really dont feel like doin all the work for that and giving myself a migraine
If you arent upgrading the tranny, dont boost it.
If you are a glutton for punishment and want to boost the auto anyways, let Sam or Kenny tune it...but dont do it.
Then again, we love 'I told you so' threads here @ aSpeed.

Don't use the e-manage ultimate, just my .02.

If his tranny is controlled by the ECU (guessing it is), he doesnt have much choice.

Here's a tip. Don't turbocharge an automatic, heavy american accord your parents gave you. It's not worth it, and at the end of the day, when you quickly get used to 250whp, you will still have a relatively slow car that isn't fun to drive and has been a total pain in the ass and a huge waste of money, time, and resources.
Save your money and your sanity until you have something worth modifying. Seriously. Wait. You will be much happier.
Remember, we told you so.

He's telling you the truth. Making a slow car a fast one is something that you DO NOT want to be doing with your only means of transportation. Sell your stuff, enjoy your accord for what it is and pick up a beater miata or something if you want to have a blast and then maybe add a bit of boost later. Trust us man....you'll look back with regret otherwise. But hey, its your car/life/blown engine/parental shitstorm/stress ucler.

If his tranny is controlled by the ECU (guessing it is), he doesnt have much choice.
Some cars (mine included) have a Transmission Control Unit that is separate from the ECU. In my case the only thing the ECU controls is timing pull between shifts. If his car is the same way he could go a different route. IMO Maft-Pro is a work of art.
As for the whole auto trans thing, you really need to beef it up before you introduce 100 more hp to it. A shift kit and LSD should be priority on your list. And a beater.

The miata beater sounds like a plan, but then again, I might be biased ;)

180sx would be the Fast Back or the 200sx which would be the coupe. Or you could derive the SIL-80 with a 180sx rear and the Silvia Front End.
Sell your Turbo Goodies and get a car on the side bro...have a nice DD and have a fun enoyable car. Keep your ac and your stock driveability:) . YOu will thank yourself later. I promise
Good Luck on Selling your parts...:meatwad:

Holy crap, if you listen to us. You will get the newb of the year award. It shows great maturity on your part. Your best bet to find a decent 240 for under 3k will be to just hit the forums. I don't know if Zilvia would have a car that cheap, but just look around and low ball people ;) also keep your eye out at small dealerships. You can find some steals at some of those places.

Seriously take our advice because we speak from experience. While you are in college do NOT go and mess up the wonderful daily driver of an Accord you've got just to have some turbo car that in reality isn't going to be all that fast (without a TON of work and money that is).
Keep the Accord as a daily driver and get a second car that you can drive off a cliff if you wanted to. Having something that you can totally F'up without worry is a wonderful feeling.

In Japan, fastbacks are indeed 180sx. 180sx, comes in Zenki, Chuki, and Kouki forms. Coupes are called Silvia. We call it 240sx in USDM land, denoting S13s or S14s. When I get my Rb20 S13 convertible back from my brother, it will be up for sale again. He is using it for his daily driver at the moment.
But the 240 is not your only options to have as a little fun car. i.e Miatas, Sentra SE-R, FCs, Z31, and the list goes on.
Anyways, turbo project cars end up most of the time on jack stands or in "hibernation" mode. So becareful in whichever way you go.

Agree with everything said above.
If you want, you can buy another cheap honda to f around with since you already kinda know them. Like a hatch or a crx. Fwd, while not the most fun, is a good learning platform.

Seriously tho, if you have the money laying around for just a second car you can drive into the ground (or a wall, or a tree, or whatever), learning to drive and have fun in a sportier car (with a manual transmission), it really will be much more fun, especially when you dont have to worry about comfy, daily transportation. Alot of peopel find that out the hard way, including alot of people on the forums.
I'd say your money would be better there, but it is, at the end of the day, your money.
