Good job man. The car sounded good.

Andy ended up blowing a headgasket, but he did get 3rd in the FWD unlimited class. Brent with the 300ZX got 3rd in the Street tire class and almost beat the #1 car due to treeing him badly. That #1 car was a DSM that ran a 9.59@158mph in qualifing, but ran a 10.5x against Brent. Congrats to Mitchell from Montgomery too for running to 10.9X's with his B18 SC61 hatch and finishing 4th in the FWD unlimited class. I wish I could have taken my car, but I couldn't get a trailor to get it up there. I will be ready in October when it hits Montgomery. It was fun and have have the sunburns to prove it. :partydanc

My friend in the black 300z that was running mid 10's beat the guy in the dsm. He messed up on his last run..

I should have ran the et2 class, but tnt instead.

I almost ran my Mercedes in the ET2 class. Automatic with perfect traction control would have owned. I just didn't want to miss everyone else run.

Good stuff, I was hoping for a 10.3 from Andy or a 10 from you too Daniel. Oh well, sounds like it was fun. Did the 150+ DSM have a 9 second license or a chute?

I will try and run a 10 when I actually get back to the track. I just didn't have a trailer to get it up there.

I didn't see a chute on the DSM either. It was the red 2G Swine and I saw at Reynolds with the carbon fiber doors and such.

That DSM didn't mess up on his last run, he didn't run.
They were sitting in the staging lanes, while waiting I was sitting there talking to Mitchell and told him the DSM was pooring fluid down the side of the block, Mitchell then told the Z driver and some other guy that was pretty animated. The animated guy made it well known that the DSM "street car" did not need to run...and it didn't. Z wins, DSM goes home.
I was really hoping Brent would have kicked the DSM's ass.

no chute on the car. It had lexan windows, CF door skins and rear hatch, fiberglass front fenders, fuel cell and absolutely no interior other than the seat...but no chute.

From what i hear his water pump was leaking...

My buddy has the Z that was racing the dsm last run.

What's funny it was in street class. They need to follow through with the rules for street class next time.

I left early and was just relaying what I was told happened.

And it was a street tire class. You could run any import as long as it was on a DOT approved tire.

Street class- Full int with nothing removed and street legal. There was nothing street legal about that car. Lexan(or tfal) glass that is not legal for street use, but that didn't matter at the event.

Didn't your buddies Z had interior removed? Brent in the grey Z did.

All Eric was missing out of his Z was the passenger seat and spare tire. Everything else was there. All the other z's( other than brents) was full int. cars nothing removed.

Good times 1EVILZ. You have a very strong car. I wish that mine were running so that I could get some good races on. My personal street tire best is 12.10 @ 113, so I think that we'd be a good run. Everyone else around here is either too slow or too fast for it to be a close race.

Glad everyone had fun, and no one wrecked.

What did Brent run?

yeah, i have a friend who runs about that 12.2@114 and we ran from a roll and after 110 i started to pull away.

I don't mind lining up with people at all. Gives me something to do.

Hell, that's how I feel too.

I'll definitely put you on my list of people to call out once I get the car back to race-worthy form.

I thought the camera man had Parkinson's.

Or just a bad case of the shakes/outdated camera syndrome?
