Sounds like you need some lessons in CAREing...gosh.
Mispelled words aside I agree with it wholeheartedly. Swine and I were just talking about that the otherday.

While I agree with it too, everyone openly agreeing with it drives watered down vehicles for everyday consumption. Don't you drive a truck? Swine has the production version of a real rally car. I can't even comment as I drive an econo box shoe. But still, if you're agreeing, you're agreeing in principle and not action. Talk is cheap and I don't see any follow through.

just because our cars aren't gutted out and nearly unbearable for daily use doesn't mean that we can't have the same mindset. I like a nice loud radio and cold ass a/c. I also like going out and pushing my car so hard that i either walk away with a huge smile or a few scratches and some soiled pants. If i take my (slow) gti out to an autocross and thrash it around for all that it's worth...pushing it to the absolute limit, how is that any different than me taking a cobra out there and doing the same thing? Granted it will handle a little better and maybe be a tad faster in the straights:D but it's the same damn thing. Just because a car is "made for racing" doesn't make it any more prone to being fun in my opinion. I'm no professional driver, but you give me just about anything with astick shift and i can have some fun with it. Like i said granted something like this cobra would be awesomely amazing, but just because my car has leather seats and a sunroof doesn't mean i can't drive it like it's a go-cart from hell.
I think if anyone personifies what i just described it would be sam. He could jump into an isuzu pickup truck and rip apart little talledega better than most people could in an enzo, and he has more fun doing it.:steering: :cheers2:

I think the point was not that it was about driving a 427 Shelby Cobra but the fact that I really like a car that is raw. Yeah I daily drive a truck, the key point in that is I daily drive it. If I daily drove something like that it would end up beat to hell and completely ruining the fun of driving it.
You don't have to daily drive an unforgiving and raw car everyday to appreciate one. For most, they never really get to experience what it is like to drive a pure and raw piece of automobile history. Just knowing the freedoms that are associated with having an Engine that is way to fast, a Transmission and 4 tires that can't hold the power is invigorating. It is much like the guys who love to ride Harley's it is in our car loving Pysche.
For me I have been blessed enough to drive alot of cars that most people have only read about in magazines. Almost everyone of them save the Viper, and the ZL-1 fit the above description and even the Viper and ZL-1 miss out only because they have power windows and AC.
I guess my point is you don't have to build a Cobra Kit car to know that driving a raw driving machine like a Cobra, old Ferrari, or old Lambo is a blast. Just knowing that everything is up to the driver and there is nothing there but you to save you from the car, that and that after you get done driving it you are going to be tired like you just ran a marthon...that is something that I find satisfying.
Trust me if I had the money to drop...scratch that if my father had had the money to drop many years ago a Cobra Kit car would have been my means of weekend travel.
We had an old news paper clipping on our fridge of an advertisment for a kit from 1989 for over 13 years, but the money was just never there.

If you're going to take the time to add something like that to your car for display...use the fucking spell check...possibly proof read.
