Got my VAFC installed and hit the dyno for 1hr today after classes. I am VERY pleased with the results seeing as I didn't touch my cam gears at all. The tuning was done with just the VAFC. Makes me excited for when I have time to really get the cams dialed in.

Peak power 180.2 with 129.1ft/lb torque.

I was able to pick up 7whp peak from my non VAFC tuned base run. More importantly than that is the fact that I gained whp everywhere in the powerband especially in the mid range where I picked up over 25whp! Also I was able to hold on to 6-7whp past 8,000rpms instead of falling off like before. The car was running super rich on the topend leading me to believe the cams aren't close to there max potential.

IMO the VAFC is a great buy for simple tuning. With even more time to play around with the fuel adjustment points I'm positive I could find a few more hidden whp.

Damn Brock, your car is a freak. Congrats on the numbers. I really want to see some numbers after some cam adjusting.

It's not quite a freak in terms of power yet. There are a few guys pulling over 190whp with my same setup.

Its a trademark of an AEM intake. Does it on almost everycar.

How did you tune the VAFC? Where's the A/F curve?

He's got the A/F curve on another dyno chart.

Yeah like Wiggie said its on another chart. I went for 13.5 across the board and nailed it pretty close. Car was running major rich up high. Around the high 10's to low 11's.

Have you had any problems with the ECU correcting the settings from your VAFC? AUCelica on AERC forum is having this problem, and I have heard of this problem from other ppl also. Just wondering!

BTW, where is this place you went to tune?

Yeah the ECU will slowly correct. It has something to do with the partial throttle settings. You can tune it so that it doesn't correct but I haven't messed with that yet. I just clear my ECU every couple of days.
