I got in one of my moods where I don't give a damn, and decided to take the car to the track for the hell of it. If it was gonna break, I didn't care.
Well, it didn't break, and it kinda surprised me a little bit.
Last time I ran was in the winter, and I ran 12.1's @ around 113
Last night, I clicked off the following timeslip:
R/T: .180
60': 1.970
330: 5.291
1/8: 8.057 @ 88.91
1000: 10.445
1/4: 12.446 @ 111.42
Not bad for not launching the car hard to try and preserve the axle. If I would have run my usual street tire 60's, (1.75x's) I would have been in the 12.1-12.0 range. If I would have been cutting 1.6's or 1.5's on drag tires, I think that I would have been anywhere between 11.7's and 11.9's in the heat.
I used to trap 111's in the cold, cold air. The LS6 intake has really helped my midrange and top-end pull.
I can't wait until I get a new axle, and some slicks and skinnies. I honestly think that the car has some 11.5x's in good weather as she sits.
