View Full Version : I hit 7 11's yesterday

Guess the fact that my car took in a shitload of water Thursday night and died on me didn't affect it! Best mph of the day was 120.2, ran 5 11.6's @ 119. All the passes were with a 120lb passenger. When I kicked her out to go pass Jerrys best time, it started raining. I waited 45 min in line, then as I'm getting ready to prestage w/ the ls1 rx7, it started randomly pouring. :roll: This 2.5 pressbent exhaust is really hurting me. Next time I'm heading to the track, I'll have 3" full mandrel. These runs were made @30 psi, still on stock transmission and stock paper headgasket. I can't break this car :lol: And I feel confident saying that, because I said it inthe middle of the day, and still made 3 more passes with no problems. Fuck dsm unreliablility!!!!!! 8)

hey you woulnd't be looking for another car would you? I've got a buddy who is trying incredibly hard to sell his. don't know if you need 2 11 second dsm's though. they say 12's the way it is, but I'm pretty confident that it could be an easy 11 second car, all it needs is some tuning. Let me know if you or anyone else is interested. I'm sure I can get it for less than he is asking. he just wants to get rid of it bad. here's the thread...

They say 12's the way it is, but I'm pretty confident that it could be an easy 11 second car, all it needs is some tuning.

:roll: :roll: Everyone loves to say how easy it is. That car will never see 11s as is, not even close. Please. Thanks for pirating the thread though.

I have 3 now, and no money to buy another one even if I wanted another one. I already have a FWD, a 92 body style w/ only 92K miles that is a lot nicer IMO Good luck on the sale.

yeah the outside of that one needs some work. it's not too bad though. oh well just thought i'd see.

Solid runs OB. With some good ole elbow grease and some practice those times should drop nicely.

OB's lying. He didnt run 11's... they were solid 17.3's at like 78mph..

It was an honest mistake though, I think 7's are 1's all the time. Damn timeslips are hard to read.
