So I finally chiseled the holy block out of the other 'vo, Jess should have a pic of the hole in the side, I'ma do a photo shoot of all of it again in the sun (the piston, rod, "bearing" "bolts"). Pretty neat. Just goes to show, ya can't run on 1/2 a quart of oil.
Well, OK, I dunno how much was in it, but suffice to say, the hole was way above the oil line and opposite the oil galley, and all that came out was about 1/2 a quart (and a lot of anti-freeze, altho i didnt notice a hole in the water jacket).
Fun times

Umm...Ouch.
I don't think I want any help from you Kenny, if I end up getting a Volvo. :P
**Edit** Greyson just told me that it's the car you bought to fix up and sell. Nevermind. :D

I wonder how that hole got there? Damn Kenny, I know you love volvos and it gets pretty lonely over in the ghetto, but there's no need to violate a poor defenceless block  :P

Damn Patrick did a good job on that car. I still wanna see other pics of it. When the cam seal went out on his car we drained the oil and he only had about half a quart in then. Then he drove it speewing oil out for two more days before replacing the cam seal and didn't top it off.

Please. I'm above such things. If/when I blow mine, the holes will be *much* larger :D
Yea, I'm not gonna say how much I paid for the car, suffice to say the shell is in near perfect condition, and its worth my time, effort and a little money to fix :D

So what kind of shape is the rest of the car in?

extremely nice, theres a small dent right behind the passenger side turn indicator (looks like someone backed into it at some point) that i'm gonna fix, and when I clean it and do the waxin and stuff it should look cherry. The interior is damn near perfect already and i haven't touched it.
