personally I love the Duo core stuff...they are smoking fast.

It's smokin fast man. scored 13,500 3Dmark06 points and runs every game I've got at the maximum settings @ 1690X1050 resolution. the Crysis demo comes out at the end of the month I think or mabey next month. I think that will be the first game that can actually challenge the card from what I've read.

I've had the Crysis beta for a while, and I have to say I hate the game. If you still can't figure out the game after 30mins of playing it (including watching the tutorial video), it's too confusing. I also hate the fact that EVERY time you move the mouse you get motion blur, for such an advanced year and technology... they sure do have bad vision.

I've heard you can turn off motion blur and do lots of ini tweaks.

Motion blur is for under powered consoles anyways. I passed on the crysis beta as it seems it's just an unoptomized tech demo more than anything. I'll be dowloading the actual single player demo before buying the game to see if it's just a pretty re-hash of farcry (which I actually liked) or not. It's going to be a toss up between crysis and the orange box for my $50... I'm leaning towards the orange box anyways becuase I know if I end up hating the crysis SP demo, I know there will probably be a torrent for it should I ever get bored of throwing portals all o'er the place.

Well, I've been putting off getting a new video card forever becuase I was playing the waiting game to see if anything faster was on the horizon which it doesn't appear that there is. The 8800's are as fast as it gets right now and since there's no competition from ATI, it seems they have no successor to the throne lined up any time soon.
