View Full Version : Motor swap
So, i got the z running (i think maybe kinda sorta) and i got the prelude towed to Wolf (thaks fo the hookup OB). The engine should be there tomorrow before 5:00.
Im going to try to get out there during the week between 3-5pm as much as i can and plan to bust ass most of saturday and sunday to finish up whats left. I also need to remove the clutch and shit from the f22 motor so i can sell it.
Anybody who wants to help will receive free insults about your mama throughout the entire swap. Bring canned goods and get a free t-shirt.
---= Parting out F22 =---
block - good as far as i know its good, but bad oil pump
head - brag to your friends that you got head over spring break! Ive seen most of the people on this board, and its the only way you're gettin any. It may sound harsh, but sometimes the truth is. life isnt fair
Tranny - excellent
clutchmaster stage 1 with less than 5k on it. it should fit f22,h23, and h22 im pretty sure. says it holds 70% over stock, and i think that applies to the h22. 70% is a lot. plot it out in Excel onto a pie chart for a visual representation of just how much 70% can be.

Cool deal. I'm down, I'll be up there hopefully tomorry mornin.
cool. i need a jumpstart. think i figured out why the z is draining the battery. its that damn thing where the left headlight goes on on its own. i might just pull the fuse for that light and not drive it at night.
I got one of these bitches this weekend

Upcomming fastest SOHC in the world is gonna be a F22 with d series tranny. Built by bisimoto. This will be the next swap for civic guys to have Seriously.
Bisimoto runs mid 10's with a 1.5 sohc carbed.

kenny and i put in a good 8 hours or so on the swap. waay too much time spent on the fucking lug nuts, and we ran into some complimications getting the H23 in, but its in the engine bay and mounted. Just needs the plumbing done, axles, change a brake line, a couple new lug nutz, bleed the clutch, and new oil and coolant, get the belts on, make a new distributor (long story) and get a new coolant sensor and it should be good to go! wewt
Went to wolf yesterday (friday) and got a few more things done
1. mounted AC and PS pumps and belt
2. Got most if not all electrical stuff done, except for a couple ground straps
3. Hooked up the shift linkages and speed sensitive steering stuff
4. Hooked up the clutch hydraulic shit
Most of the time was finding the damn PS pump mounting bolts.
need to get under the car i think to hook up some of the coolant lines.
