That's pretty bad A. That thing must freaking scream. Any specs on it?
get some waterproof underbody neons. that'd be sweet. and an APR wing!
Revs to 7k rpms. Top speed 55mph. Hull has won MANY awards. One of the best all around waverunners offered today.

Yeah you need NAWWZ stickers too. And a cold water intake
We used to have 2 seadoo GPX's. They were supposedly the fastest personal watercraft (aside from the race prepped ones) that you could buy in 2001. All I can say is that bumble bees hurt like fucking hell when they hit your shoulder @ 50 mph. Felt like I took a metal slug from a small firearm...little bitch left a big ugly bruise and drew blood. :x

Should have gotten this.
http://www.hondamotorcycles.com/assets/images/model/model_hero_shot/watercraft/2003/large/AquatraxR12X_large_01.jpg
Introducing the new two-passenger personal watercraft in the Honda AquaTrax family: the new AquaTrax R-12X. With its turbocharged 1235cc engine, incredible class-leading maneuverability and impressive power-to-weight ratio, it's the highest-performing PWC on the water?period.
Engine Type 1235cc liquid-cooled dry-sump inline four-cylinder with intercooled turbocharger
Bore and Stroke 79.0mm x 63.0mm
Compression Ratio 8.5:1
Valve Train DOHC; four valves per cylinder
Carburetion PGM-FI with automatic enricher circuit
Ignition Computer-controlled digital with three-dimensional mapping
140 HP!

Hmm...over twice the displacement and a turbo and only 40 more hp (its 160, the 140 hp one is NA). Besides, Honda wants over 10 g's for that bike and as soon as that cold water hits that hot turbine housing...peace out ;)
Rather have the 1300R anyways. Hull has won many more races and championships than Hondas new Aquatrax series. That hull has yet to prove itself.

I cracked one of our GPX hulls. Managed to get it back to the docks before we drained 15 gallons out of the damn thing. Dad sold em after that

You should have seen the one we took down to the beach.
1100cc's (128hp) and it tops out at 65mph
Man those seaguls didn't know what hit em. I scared the shit out of a few and almost hit one.

Pretty sweet, but something tells me water doesn't flow through the engine compartment... at least I hope so.
On a different note, the Seadoo XP is far and away the baddest waverunner I've ever ridden. It was a totally different animal than the Yamahas(base models, they sucked) that we rented out at this watercraft place I used to work at.

thats nice
we got a couple of 700s at the house
lemme know if you ever get a chance to bring it down
we will take them out at lake martin if you ever get a chance
there are a couple of places up there we own so it could be something to do on one of those boring weekends
XP's are fast, the Yamaha models that compete with those are the GP series(800, 1200, and now 1300R). However, seadoo engines BLOW! Fresh water situations I am not sure about, but there is a reason why all the waverunner rental places around Destin rent Yamahas....everything holds up better. Couple years back we meet a couple that threw a rod on their XP 4 days after they had it. You can also go and just straight up ask the rental places why they use Yamahas and they will give you a straight up answer. I will never own a seadoo. My family and I started riding in 91, and I have yet to be reassured on the reliability of Seadoo watercraft in salt water.

This is probably true. I grew up on the lakes in texas, no saltwater there.

Hmm...Mabey just bad luck?? Ours lasted 2 years. We rode them at lake martin on holidays but mainly kept them at the beach. It was a perk of renting out our units. If someone rented our condo, they got to use our sea doos. Never had any problems with em....till I hit the sea screamer's wake and launched it about 5 feet off the water  Re entry wasn't pretty

Yea, water does not flow through the engine compartment.......but that doesn't mean water won't get in Jeff ;) Have you ever flipped a PWC over before? Even in normal conditions, some water ends up in the bilge.
As far as the seadoos. The XP's are the high performance models, of course its on a different level than a base 700cc 70 hp 3 seater ;) Ours w/ 120 will have a nice blend of performance and functionality. Also, if you ever look at PWC stock that gets traded in or sold, the majority of the Seadoo's have either rebuilt or new motors. I'm not saying that Yamaha's don't have issues, just that from what we have seen from growing up around the salt water, Seadoos do not hold up as well.

we had a leak in one of ours this past summer,
water filled the compartment to just below the top of the engine
yea, it was fucked
but its fixed, and ready to ride whenever you bring your shit down to lake martin

What are you going to tow it with? The TL-S?

Haha.......actually, yeah. We've already hauled it around w/ the TL. It does a great job, you barely know its towing anything. Plus it's got mAd vTec yO.

Wouldn't the Bimmer be more suited to towing it??
maybe, but dad wouldn't be caught dead with a tow hitch on the 7
