If the insurance comp doesn't want an arm and a leg for it, I'd buy it back from them if I were you. The folks over on the 'Tex will buy 337 stuff for amazing amounts of money. Its like an ITR in the Honda group ;)
Oh yea,
I sure would feel horrible if I were you..........hehe, j/k(no really). It hurts me to look(not really, but you get the point)

hehe....already in action! actually i'm trying to just follow it to the junk yard and buy the wheels/tires, engine, ecu with chip, shocks/springs/ aluminum trim...and etc...
i saw a set of these wheels on 'tex going for 1800!
problem is they are going to auction it off so i won't be able to buy it. i'll just have to find out where it goes
i thought owner got first dibs. guess i was wrong :(
BTW - looking at the wreck pics, it looked like you were trying to spare the car from as much damage as possble by taking the brunt of the force to your left shoulder. that doesnt work, but you did a good job damaging as few panels as possible. good job!

lol....yeah i did try to soften the blow with my shoulder....i think it worked. 8) besides the roof and hood, the car looks great from the passenger side.
if i do have first dibs on the car, i don't think it would be worth it to buy the whole thing.

Sometimes, it's a better investment to buy the car back and just part everything out. You would prob pay more if you buy all the individual parts from a junkyard.
Let us know how much it is.

How hard was the impact (just from your pt of view) i know it was large and how did your airbags do?? just curious. glad your ok

i am looking,
and if i am right, which isnt very often
but are those side impact airbags, if so
that is probably where you are getting the high insurance claim
airbags are freaking expensive,
because other than that, it didnt look all that horrible
just a sad sight,
again its good to hear you are living and without much injury

the impact was pretty solid! it was a strong knock but it didn't really hurt. i was VERY impressed at the safety of the car. as you can see, the curtain airbag came done from the headliner and saved my head from being destroyed by the trees and glass. and the recaro seat have air bags in the sides of them. it was actually a comfortable wreck if there is such a thing.
