Well... yes and no. Most 2-strokes with any power have some type of valve, it is just not usually driven off the engine by a camshaft. But yes you can have a two stroke with no valves.

Thats what i meant...it ACTS as a valve...but its not a real valve that is operated mechanicaly. I should say "simplicity FTW"

Yeah 2 strokes can be nice,but hard to start in cold weather. I have a fun little 70cc Scooter I drive sometimes. It looks just like this one but I have a few things done to it.
