I got a call today from a guy that I haven't talked to in over a year or so (guy in my highschool class). It seems that he is friends with a dude (works at a speed shopt) that apparently knows guys that steal cars. Well he found out today that they have seen my car in the city (I have to go there to do anything cool) and a few of them have followed me home and know where I live. They were quoted as saying "about 50-60mi north of here" which is exactly where I live. That and the fact that I'm about the only PY Type-R in the area and definitely the only one in my county. Unless this guy that I haven't talked to in forever has decided to play a major prank on me I think I have reason to be worried.

What do I do?

Get a secondary alarm and directly wire it to your battery and install a hidden kill switch b/twn the battery and your starter....

i've heard alot of things about 337's getting stripped and stolen. kinda makes me worry. my uncle told me of one in my home town getting jacked and stripped. the cops found it days later.

Ummm.....I would set up a full perimeter like in Predator. Have motion sensin weapons on trees and land mines guarding the entrance. I could care less if someone said they were going to steal my car for 2 reasons. 1. They probably don't know how to steal a car run completely by electronics. and 2. I have a Passat, no one is going to steal anything. However, in your case, I really would be worried. Type R's drop like flies, so paint it black or something.

I hate to say this, but check your insurance policy and make sure everything is covered. Also, you might consider lowering your deductible for a couple of months.

You might want to unhook your exhaust. If they try to drive it off you will definitely hear it.

Good idea wiggie..... Brock or everytime you leave your car at night just disconnect the throttle cable.... Easy to put on if you know it is disconnected and very hard to see when trying to steel a car in the dark. They will try to start it a few times and hopefully give up.

Honestly there is nothing you can really do. If someone wants to steal your car, they steal it one way or another. Best thing to do really is get a alarm and rig it some how. Even with a alarm, they can still steal it but most theives won't because of the hassle of making it go off and finding the brain and wires to cut :wink: . Best thing to do really is what Wiggie said, just check up on ur insrc and all.
But only thing I can think of really is just some how making it difficult to steal.

if you get an alarm, its worthless without a backup battery. I had my siren hidden behind a fender and the brain and stuff behind the radio. make it hard for theives. When i was living in columbia a dude got his R stolen. Ive got a perimiter sensor i can sell out outta the lude. Should fit good under your emer brake cover. interior and exterior settings

Just get a switch that shuts off your fuel pump and injector relay. Hide it somewhere they won't find, and use the club (with a sheild so they can't cut it off), it'll keep your wheels turned so its a bitch to pull onto a flatbed.

If they REALLY want it, they'll get it. But I can think of lots of ways to make them decide they don't REALLY want it ;)

If nothing else, set up a video camera, to catch them in the act.

Kill switch is cheap, easy, and good, as is the throttle cable, but if they're really watching, they'll see you mess with something before going inside. You could put a cutout on it, that way you dont hafta mess with reconnecting in the morning for the sake of the neighbors ;)

you could always put 2 kill switches in-line so it'll only work if they're both switched

or separate switches for the coil and pump.

OR, you could have a switch labeled 'kill swich' thats a dummy switch and it will make the doors lock and it will shower down the passengers with anthrax

Well a 21 year old guy has been missing for a few days and they found his Acura (all the paper said) down at the docks partially stripped. :? Tried calling the police about it and haven't recieved a return phone call yet. I think I'll be packing heat tommorrow in the form of a Katana blade and a pair of "chucks".
