Alright...

Andy and I have been considering a trip to JHOTT in Late Jan. or early Feb. If we have more than 2-3 people go we are probably going to need a trailor to cart all of our shit back...

If you want to go and can arrane for a trailor to be taken with...just POST UP!! Gas will be an EVEN split between all going(including myself, probably be able to drive the Tahoe).

Container ships did not really come about for international shipping until the early 1950's. Instead of having to have a shitton of man power to unload cargo ships using cranes, nets, or other methods, they could just pick the container of the boat, throw it on a trailer, and haul it away to its destination. Where it really got cool is when the railroads started building railcars that will hold 2 53' shipping containers double stacked. Boat to Rail to Truck to Dock in a pretty short period of time.

There are a couple of good documentaries that come on National Geographic or the History Channel a few times a year about this stuff. Fucking remarkable really.

/pedantic history lesson

If you are looking for JDM parts, i've got an excellent source whom i have been dealing with this past year. Let me know what you are looking for, any vehicle and i'll see what i can do. He gets containers in pretty regular and gives me good prices.
