Everyone here knows about the Gumball 3000. The actual race is less than a week away. They are racing west to east this time, from Sanfransisco, CA to Miami, FL. That means that at some point in time they will be coming somewhere near by. If they come to a reasonable location, i might go watch the action. I do not know their exact course just yet but i am getting more information day by day. One of the checkpoints is New Orleans though which is only five hours away. It might be worth the drive... I know one of the people driving (formerly JGLuder on Honda-Tech) in the race. He too has a prelude, (the first ever honda to be entered in the race :P ) and if all goes to plan, will leave out Sunday headed for California. He is also asking anyone who has an extra set of wheels and tires to donate them to the Gumball car beacuse his wheel and tire sponser backed out. Would anyone be interested in finding a spot where they would be passing and go??

Not to be critical.....

But, how the hell are we supposed to know where they are going?
I'm assuming they don't plan and publish their route or every cop coast to coast would be sitting on a gravy bowl trying to meet their quotas

Any ideas on how to find out where they actually are going to be...

Saying "New Orleans" is one thing... but, where the hell in NO...

Just my critical observation...

i hate to think it but i doubt they will make it. I hope they prove me wrong. I mean a brand new motor untuned trying to run cross country under stressful conditions.

yeah i'll be running the gumball this year in my moms alero! its got naaawzzz and a stage 3 bov! its pretty fast. i think its good for atleast a 9.6 1/4 but we will see!

The guys from Jackass did the one in europe in a Windstar. I downloaded that episode. It's hysterical. Also got the tekademics 3000 vid on SVCD. Nice!

Here's my question. Who is stupid enough to pay all that money to drive on public roads and stay in public hotels? I think it would be funny if some of us just tagged along with them. How could they stop us? :wink:

Of course, I'd have to get a lift kit if I wanted to hang with the F50... a 32'' lift atleast with mickey thompsons and a detroit locka 8)

Well, the turbo on Mike's car is having issues. They are out in Cali though.
