Well, since it is the first day in months that I've been off for a TnT, I decided to pay the outrageous amount ($30) that steele was asking in the hopes of breaking 12s.

I took everything out of my car, and even removed the back seats. I put in some 104 octane booster, and when I got to the track I took off my air filter.

My first run was a 19.159... when I hit second the car nearly stalled and my rpms plumetted. After disengaging the clutch and coasting for a while I just drove slowly off the track.

The car ran fine reguardless of what I threw at it on the return road so I figured it was driver error and went back to staging. Second run... 15. The same thing.

After thinking for a while I put the air filter back on. My next run was a 13.7. I guess that the increased airflow was making my MAF read lean and so it would shut everything down.

After nine more runs because I was one of the few people dumb enough to pay $40 for me and my GF to get in, I had acheived my new best.

R/T- .406
60'- 2.128
330- 5.710
1/8- 8.566
MPH- 86.81

1/4- 13.047
MPH- 109.90

(My previous best with the same mods was 13.484 @ 107.5 so I'm getting better at driving.)

Considering that I did that on street tires with a terribly dirty air filter and a continuing miss, I'm pretty satisfied.

Sweet, get some tires and you'd be set.

That's definitely next on my list of to-do's however first I have to change my plugs for the second time in 4 months because 104 octain booster is gay.:snipe:

Nice run, but one question, why in the hell are you using *any* off the shelf octane booster? You don't need anything besides 93 octane in an LS1 until you go FI or 150+ shot of N20... I've run the times in my sig with nothing more than good 93 octane Chevron gas...

Just an observation. Oh, and change your plugs to NGK TR55's (PN 3951), gapped at .050, and they'll last about 25,000 miles with drag strip abuse...

For starters I already knew it was dumb. The only reason why I tried 104 is because I saw that the owner of installuniversity.com used it in his z28. Lesson learned.

Also, I"m aready using TR55's. Those are what got screwed, and that's what I"m putting back in.

I dunno, I just had enough time to pull one out. The issue seemed to improve a little when I filled the tank yesturday.
