Its a little early, but just wanted to let everyone know about a Test & Tune in B-ham on Feb. 10th. Come on out and have fun. Check out the Alabama Region's website for more info: http://alscca.org/

I believe there is another T&T in Huntsville the following week. I need as much seat time as possible, since the Dixie National Tour is Feb. 23rd & 24th.

This wasn't really an issue when i went to the wiregrass scca earlier this month. Its quick and painless, and an extra $5. But I can see it being an issue if the event has a lot of non member participants. It takes a couple of minutes...

Some gay shit went down a week and a half ago for my dad. First he turned too hard at work and ended up scraping the curb from wheel to wheel. So, he took it to the local Nissan dealership, Regal Nissan in Huntsville. They fixed it, painted it, and were going to attach it back and be good to go. But my dad also wanted them to check the clutch plate because he thought it was slipping. So, before they dove into the car to check, one mechanic took it out on the road. (You can kind of see where this is going...) As the mechanic was cruising down the road he was shifting and, for some reason, had to WATCH himself complete the shift. As the dumbass was watching himself shift, he had a wreck and totaled the car. That fucks up our entire season.

The cool part is that the General manager of the dealership is looking for an 08 for dad. The problem is that now we don't have a car to race until then. I've retired the 03 350z because it is now my wife's daily driver. I will still bring it down to Bham and the Huntsville T&T, but I'm not driving it in the Valdosta National Tour.

Sucks!

link to the online registration?

From the ALSCCA announce list:
Online registration is open at https://axwaresystems.com/axorm/clubcenter_main.php

It is not required to preregister but for now if you preregister it is required to pay online. If you are a member ,once you register with axware ,Evan and I will confirm your membership and you will then be free to register for the event.Until we get this system tweaked and streamlined there will be snags ,but we hope to get it all worked out before the first points eventin March.I hope to see you all there next sunday .

Gonna try and make this, going to atl to pick up some 275/40/17 v700's for the Z on Friday. The Z is also getting some weight reduction, should be around 3080lbs with some little stuff removed.

Shitty spring rates, horrible allignment, and 2300 of 3080 lbs being over the nose means its prob not going to be anything amazing. But should be fun.

Oh btw- 88 Z power driving seat...71lbs.:O Just a note, it will still have this seat in it though.:( No passenger seat though.

Jebus. You looking for a new seat yet?

Why is 74% of the cars weight on the front end? Thats a joke right?

Lol nahh, it was just a joke. I dont even know the actual #'s just heard shes kinda nose heavy.

Anyways, removed bump, bumper beam bracker, cruise, and passenger seat.
I may leave the bumper cover off as well becuase im a lazy bastard. Should help get alittle weight off the nose.

Yes, i am looking for a cheap replacement seat. Nothing bolts in, so whatever is light, somewhat comfortable, holds you in pretty good, and can be had for very little $$ is a consideration.

Thats not what I was refering to. I guess I should have cut that part out of the quote too. I was refering to how you said you want light comfy and tight but you didn't mention safety. Not that I'd expect you to, twas only kidding with ya. ;)

I thought it was ok to mount seats with zip ties, bailing wire, and prayer.

Well, I'm not going to make it this weekend. I'm hanging with Mike(insertcar) all weekend since the bastard is leaving for Colorado on Monday.

Side note...my dad is finally getting an 08 350z from the dealership that wreck his 07. Should be in Thursday of next week. He already bought the koni shocks, tires, and the new trailer hitch for it. Next Sunday in Huntsville really will be a true Test and Tune for us...
