People started getting killed here locally and the cops really tightend it up which basically killed the scene for a while. Either way, I hear it's back.

I don't know what the current laws are in Alabama for street racing but in Florida it's a pretty big deal if you get caught...One year of jail time, impounded car, and fines. Back when I was in highschool, some stupid kids were street racing in Gulf Breeze and killed an innocent driver and that made them change their laws.

My friend, about 6 years ago, got arrested for street racing, spent one night in jail, got a court date, showed up, judge told him not to race anymore and he went home.
