Cliff Notes: Swine and I are competing in the One Lap of America (http://www.onelapofamerica.com) in the boosted tC.
Long Version: A decent amount of you had heard through the grapevine or directly from either of us that we are competing in the One Lap of America this year. For those of you who are not familiar with the event it covers 4,000 miles in 7 days and has a total of 20 events that allow you to accumulate points. The rules state that the car must be driven between each event, so no trailer queens are allowed. This meens 100% street legal. You are also allowed four tires with two full-sized spares, the tread must start at 8/32" and end with a minimum of 2/32". DOT legal tires, no track/autox/R compounds allowed at all.
We're both very excited to be participating, and looking forward to it. We will be gone from May 1st to May 11th. I already have a blog up that will be updated as we go throughout the One Lap, including pictures so when it gets closer to the event I'll give you guys the URL.

Sweet, I'll read what you've written later. A day of shooting guns, fishin' and running around doing whatever else you can do outdoors can wear the hell out of you in this heat. I'm looking forward to keeping up with this shit fo sho!

We will be passing through, oddly enough. Get Wednesday morning off and join us at Carolina Motorsports Park :) Only an hour away in Kershaw.

Ah yes, I now see what "finals" a member of my family is having to suffer through which is keeping said person from attending my medical school graduation. This will be remembered...

The important thing to remember here is that I would never have stood you up if you were my brother...I vote that you Ban him from the family...it is the only way to keep this from happening again.

Chill out.
Mom knows the truth, i dont know why she told you i had finals. This story was for dad. Besides, i doubt you considered this...but i scheduled to take my finals this early. If i hadnt, i would have had a final tomorrow anyways.
Oh yeah, i didnt even know your graduation date until about 2 weeks ago. Mom didnt tell me becuase she knew i wouldnt be able to make it. Just fyi.
No matter how you slice it, i wouldnt be able to make your graduation boss man. Sorry.
Anyways, back to studying for my last final tonight(7-9pm) and then we are off at 9:30 to make it into Indiana by hopefully 10-11Am tomorrow.

Its not a big deal, I thought you had lied to get out of it using school as your excuse, which is the only excuse that would fly with mom and dad anyway. I'd miss it for one lap also.

Sure, although if you break anything I'll just be the one who says you did or didn't. Leave the fixin' to those neanderthal orthopods. Whats the true definition of a double blind study? Two orthopods trying to read an EKG :D

So as some of you have seen, we hit troubles. Unfortunately we aren't going to be able to finish the event and its time to lick our wounds. This time we'll plan earlier and carry more spare parts.
Thanks for the support and help, we're currently stuck 45mi N of mobile waiting on Brock Yates himself to deliver spare parts to limp home. It was a good run and we were doing well, it pains me a lot to withdraw.
See you guys tonight at roosters, we're getting drunk as fuck tonight.
