View Full Version : Race Gas.....
Anyone know of a race gas station around here that I can get some 100oct. I heard there was a station in Alexander City, has anyone ever been to it? Is there one closer than Birmingham?

I know a place on Opelika Road. I will give you a hint - you drive a VW/AUDI  .
Well the thing is, I wouldn't want to get any from APR because I would feel like I would be bumming off of them. Plus they use theirs to tune with, so I am sure they would like to keep as much of it as possible to go towards tuning cars.

Looks like we might have to get it at MMP. I don't know the price, brand, or octane there.

Might as well go all the way to the track instead. Why stop?
I got some coming, Sam is going to pick me up some 100oct at that Chevron on the way from Birmingham to Montgomery. I can't use the tracks fuels because they are all leaded and will foul my lousy 02sensors.

Check the weather report at weather.com. It doesn't look good for Montgomery. Might want to make new plans. I am up for whatever.
Either way I am going to Montgomery to get the gas from Sam and pay him back. If it rains, I will just go to his shop if he is there and hang out with him and shoot the shit.

I thought you didn't like race gas! :D
For an extra 25hp and 30lb/ft, I will put in race gas 8) . On a side note, I did try it out this weekend and I could barely tell a difference if any at all. Could be that it has to adapt for a while so that I can get my full range of timing or it could be that I just got the wrong program. We will see.
Oh, and I drove Sams racing go-kart. Yeah, 0-70 in 4.2secs and tops out around 120mph. Nothing will ever be the same. A car is nothing compared to this thing. You don't turn the wheel, you think in your head "turn the wheel" and it turns for you. I drove it for about 20min and boy can you throttle steer it....completely awesome experience.
