New Evoscan is out and it supports the 3kGT at MUT datalogging which is like OBD datalogging X 1000000000 :)

Guess who has a license and the lastest version ;)

Sean just told me he has a cable on the way, same cable we use to reflash the evo is what we use to datalog, and it will now datalog your car also.

Edit, it will also datalog all the DSMs as well. This logging proggy is one of the best guys. Phenomenal.

Thats wierd, it says it supports any '94+ Mitsubishi with an OBDII connector; however, the '94 &'95 3/Ss were not OBDII even though they have the connector but at the same time they were not OBDI. The guy mentions logging hybrid 3/Ss but he says it is the '95 & '96; the '96 was true OBDII. I'd be really interested to see this thing be able to effectively log a hybrid 3/S. To me it seems like the guy is trying to do something that is really great and basing it off of the MUTIII and MUTII is probably the best thing but there are a few things with the 3/S I don't fully trust.

Not to mention, there have been quite a few guys on 3Si that have had problems with EvoScan; however, many of the 3rd gen guys love it as it is one of the first true OBDII scanners. From what I gathered doing a quick search, the EvoScan program is comprable to HHH and Zeitronics but the hardware (cables) are not compatible. And, if your laptop does not have a serial connector then you'll need an RS232 compliant USB to Serial adaptor (just like with the AEM EMS).

EvoScan has a USB OBD cable as well... so you don't need RS232

Yeah, I just saw thier listing about 5 mins ago; I think what I had noticed before is guys trying to use a cable from a different logger.

Site says it will work with OBDI as well, and that they are working to crack 94+95 on the Eclipse/Talon. Weren't they hybrid too?

OBD-I (12Pin) Supported Vehicles
EvoScan software is confirmed working with these vehicles, using a FTDI USB OBD-I 12pin cable is required.(new 12pin cables available soon)
25) Mitsubishi Eclipse/DSM (1995 and 1996 support will be introduced once I crack this beast any day now, register now and you will get a free update)
26) 1990-93 Mitsubishi 3000GT/GTO
27) 1990-93 Mitsubishi Dodge Stealth
28) 1990-94 Eagle Talon, Mitsubishi Eclipse, or Plymouth Laser
29) 1991-92 Galant VR-4
30) 1993 Mitsubishi Lancer GTI 16v
31) 1989-92 Colt, Summit & Mirage (CSM)
32) 1992-95 Mitsubishi Evo I, II & III
33) 1990-1995 Mitsubishi vehicles fitted with a 12-PIN OBDI diagnostic port

I know DSMs were OBDII in 95, not sure about the 94 but I thought they were OBDI all the way through until they switched to OBDII in 95 (I think).

I'd love to try it but I have my doubts about whether or not it will work. I followed the thread on 3SI about this for a while and it seemed that the true OBDII cars (96-99) worked fairly well but the hybrids (94-95) did not have much luck. Like Shawn said though, the 94 and 95 hybrids have the OBDII style port, and I have laptops with both serial and USB ports so let's give it a shot ;)

I thought I'd also add, I currently have an OK system for datalogging, which is something that was developed specifically for hybrid 3/S cars by a board member. My only complaint is that it is through my Palm M130, which can be a pain to use in real time. A nice software interface that would show several parameters in a good, easily readable format would be GOLD.

I still have my hybrid logger with an m505; maybe that will be a little easier to use (the m505 that is). I'm kinda planning on taking my hybrid logger cable and setting up the OBDII port as the interface for my AEM; that way I don't have to have any cables hanging out.

All cars were required to switch to OBDII by '96 IIRC.
