So, I'm bored out of my mind and would like to go out and do something (I don't have anything particular in mind). Two problems: 1) I don't know half the shit that there is to do in Auburn; 2) this is pretty much the last weekend I have to go out and have fun before the wife gets back into town. Any thoughts/suggestions?

It's freaking Saturday; there has to be something going on. Someone having a BBQ? A bar/club that isn't lame? Pool? Bowling? Something besides sitting in front of the comp getting fat?

Its between classes. It is always like this unless you are moving in this time of year.

There are always a ton of people at the bars on college and magnolia. I usually go to 1716 and skybar a few times a week. I'm not sure if I'm going out tonight though...

I'll take the silence as a no. Maybe I'll venture out College/Magnolia area tonight to see what's happening. Any suggestions on a good place to park? Do bars/clubs around here have cover charges? How late is last call?

I prefer the atmosphere of 17-16 to Skybar. It has more of a laid-back but clean feel and isn't as metro and pretentious as In Italy.
Typically I don't go to a bar if they are charging cover. 17-16 is good about not charging cover whereas most of the others DO.
Last call is typically 2am I believe.

I dont prefer many FRATMOSPHERES to be totally honest with you...

Skybar was alright until people started showing back up in town...I was confrontation free for about 3-4 visits to the open sky bar...and then some tilt hat wearing big shirt sporting oversize pant buying dipshit asks me what the fuck I said after I stoped him from getting his ass kicked by the 300lb sky bar monsters...I reminded him to chill the fuck out...and this is when the skybar monsters removed the kid who stopped the fight and the frat shit who was previously engaged in harassing said gangsta G asks me what the fuck I said...I informed him to get the fuck out of my way and let me get my beer...

What a great fucking night:thumbsup:

Chappy, Steven, and Adam had my back if I was gonna get jumped:bubbrubb:

FRATMOSPHERE=FTL

This was last night? Or just why you hate going to skybar?

Gotcha. I was curious though, how does the instance you're referring to have anything to do with a franterity or two? From what I read it sounds more like every "G" out there is trying to be all "thug" and what not. I didn't take anything you said personally, but I am a fraternity member (of which there is a local chapter here at AU) and didn't see your situation as a fraternity issue. All in all, I guess it is not important but it did strike me as odd.

haha....Its ussually Frat boys that start fights(one of the kids was a frategy and the other was some gthug....) with me...my distaste for frats came when I was in one...so I have looked from the inside and the outside...most of them carry the same sentiments...pack mentality when it comes to fights and pussy ass tactics...

That would be how I explain my feelings towards the fraternal order

Understandable. I don't know how the fraternities are out here; I had a great experience in mine so I don't share the same distaste; perhaps I may feel the same way after being here for a while.

The bars around here are not bad. The main thing to remember is that no matter what you will probably be out numbered in any bar fight situation. I know most of the bouncers around here and they are more than willing to throw down for any reason what so ever. So if you do find yourself in that situation just walk out, but 95% of the time you will not run into a problem unless you are looking for one.
